Our Magazine Fundraiser is running strong. To date, $70.80 has been raised- what an awesome success! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us through this way! And if you would like to order or renew your magazine subscriptions, this is a great way to do it. Not only does 40% of the proceeds come to help bring Chayah home, but the magazine are at a discounted price.

In addition to this, I have also opened up a Cafe Press store to raise the money to bring Chayah home. Here we have products ranging from t-shirts and sweatshirts in child through adult sizes, as well as household items, bags, hats, mugs, calendars, clocks and much more. All items are customized with an image as shown on each item at the store. Cafe Press runs and manages the products, payment, and arranges shipping-- through this a portion of the proceeds from each purchase will go directly towards bringing Chayah home!

Our God is an awesome God! When we stepped out in this journey of faith, we did not know where the finances were going to come from. But we knew that this adoption was God's will and that He would provide. Through our wonderful agency CCAI we were shown this and now again through Shaohannah's Hope! We have been awarded a grant in the amount of $3000 from Shaohannah's Hope for Chayah's adoption! Shaohannah's Hope is a ministry created by Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife, MaryBeth, to help with the costs of adoption to build bridges and families through the miracle of adoption. We received this awesome news while watching the Chapman Family on Larry King Live, and as Larry King said, "The Amazing Chapmans", and that they truly are! I cannot begin to express our gratitude towards Shaohannah's Hope; the staff, and the Chapman family, for this gift!

Here is a breakdown of the approximation of Chayah's adoption costs. The fees are in blue, the "paid" in red means that it has been paid. I will update this each time there is a change.

Application to adoption agency (CCAI): $150- paid
Application to homestudy agency (Glenkirk): $100-paid
Homestudy Update (Glenkirk): $1700-paid
Agency fees (to CCAI): $4250 -paid
Fees for I-600a plus fingerprinting for 4: $910-paid
Dossier Prep (to Secretary of State, Chinese Consulate) : $450-paid
CCAA Fee (China Center of Adoption Affairs) : $540-paid
Orphanage Fee (paid to child's orphanage): apprx. $3,500
Visas for two adults: $240
Flights for two adults and one child: apprx. $2,900 (depends on current rates)
In China travel and accommodations for two adults: apprx. $2,100-paid
Adoption Registration and Notarization (Local government in China): $400-$800
Child's Passport (Local passport agency in China): $100- $150
Child's Physical and Photo (In Guangzhou): $70
Child's US Visa Entry (US Consulate): $380

Let me tell you, CCAI is an awesome agency!!! They are just amazing! When we started this process to bring Chayah home, we had no idea where the money would come from. But, we knew that God had placed Chayah in our family and we had to bring her home. Our agency is now not only paying our complete agency fees, but they have also decided to award us a grant, bringing our total grants from CCAI to $10,000!!! How great is our God? Not the entire adoption in financed, but God has shown time and time again that He will provide just when we need it. I cannot even believe how amazing this is. I am speechless. Thank you CCAI!
